Sunrise Cafe - San Clemente: Your Go-To Spot for Delicious Breakfast and Friendly Service

We were able to stop by on our way back form our trip. Stopped in for a Togo order. They were busy and had no problem. Let us take a seat at the bar while we looked at the menu and our food was ready in such a timely manner and it was delicious!! It was kind of silly bc we got it togo but it smelled so good and fresh that we stuffed half of the portion our faces before leaving the parking lot. Kind service and lots of love!

On a recent bike ride through San Clemente we stopped at the Sunrise Café for breakfast. I ordered the blueberry pancakes, which have got to be the best in town. The service was phenomenal and attentive. Would definitely go back to people watch as you sit on the patio and watch the cars go by!

TAKE A WARM JACKET, in WINTER !!! They don't TURN on the HEATER or KEEP the doors CLOSED !!! It it is CA only blocks from the BEACH in low 50's indoors.

This is a relaxed and friendly place to have breakfast. The portion sizes are enough for two. The eggs Benedict and home fries were very flavorful and hearty. Their huge cup of hot chocolate is the perfect antidote for a chilly California morning.

We were heading back home from a stay in Dana point & discovered our tire was flat, we stopped in at the Big O tires to get the flat tire fixed and they recommended the sunrise cafe to take the kids to breakfast, so we walked over to the sunrise cafe, we were instantly greeted and sat right away, the staff was so kind so friendly, Our food was delicious!!!!! We left the cafe walked back to Big O tires to pick up our vehicle and get back on the road for a 10 hour drive to home .. 3 hours into our drive, my son panics and says mom I left my retainers wrapped in the napkin at the sunrise cafe, (retainers are expensive to replace) I thought it was a long shot but worth trying, we called and sunrise cafe, Lexie answered the phone (she was our waitress) I begin to explain the situation & ask if there’s any chance they could look in the trash, (realizing, knowing what I was asking was out of the ordinary & gross to rummage through trash looking for retainers wrapped in a napkin) Lexie was so kind, she said let me see what we can do, she took my phone number down & told me she would call me either way. I said thank you & we ended the call. A few minutes later I received a text saying the trash was already taken out to the dumpster. I replied no worries I understand, and I thanked her for her efforts.. A few minutes later she text me again saying “we’ve got them “ what’s your address and I’ll send them to you… I couldn’t believe it! They did not have to do that for me, I couldn’t believe it, we are so incredibly grateful! we had already loved our experience at sunrise cafe, this experience has left a forever impression and impact ! Thank you Lexie! Thank you Miguel thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

We happened upon Sunrise Cafe as we traveled through San Clemente. The entire staff is very friendly and happy. Veggie omelettes are our go to and this place makes the best Veggie Omelette hands down! Putting this place on our list of places to return for a great breakfast.

5 stars all around! This place is divine From the staff, to the food, and even the coffee is all delicious . Every time I come down to San Clemente this is a must stop for me and my family. The food is made fresh right in front of your eyes and it taste home made each and every time. Highly recommend coming here with family, friends, and even when you’re riding solo, sit at the bar and strike up a conversation with the macho man chef Jose!
